Not Alone

Updated: 2 hours ago

The roaring sea filled my senses below a heavy cloud filled sky. When I came out after swimming a mile through the surf, the cloud cleared momentarily. It was enough to show two very distinct, straight as a die, jet trails in the sky. They must have been roaring past while I swam, late in the night, concealed behind the cloud. I feel completely alone out there at times, and at others I see the universe as vast as it really is and still feel part of it. From my vantage point, there are no distractions. A window into the vastness of the world of which I am a part.
